Menno Huising

Menno Huising is a Dutch climber born on 8 April 2004; ProCyclingStats gives Wateringen as his birthplace. As a junior he won the Gipuzkoa Klasikoa stage race in 2022, the same year he finished sixth in the junior road race at the UCI Road World Championships. In late 2021 he was part of the first group of riders in CyclingClassNL, a joint programme of the Dutch cycling federation KNWU, NOC*NSF and Team Jumbo-Visma that coaches young talent. In 2022 he rode for the club team Willebrord Wil Vooruit.

He joined the Jumbo-Visma Development Team on 1 January 2023. That year he won the Flèche Ardennaise and the mountains classification at the Istrian Spring Trophy. On 20 June 2023 the team announced that he had signed his first professional contract, running to 2027, with a move to the WorldTour squad in 2025. He was the first rider from CyclingClassNL to turn professional.

His first professional season, 2025, was spent mostly working for team-mates. Dutch broadcaster NOS reported in September that he had not finished in the top ten in any race that year. He was nevertheless added late to the Dutch team for the World Championships road race in Rwanda, as a replacement for Koen Bouwman, who had left the Vuelta with illness.

His 2026 programme, as listed by ProCyclingStats, included Itzulia Basque Country, the Volta a Catalunya, the Tour de Romandie, the Ardennes classics, the Tour de Suisse and the PostNord Tour of Denmark. He was 20th overall in Denmark and sixth in the mountains classification, 22nd at the Tour de Luxembourg and 41st in the World Championships road race on 27 September. In October he rode the Eneco Tour, finishing 52nd overall and 16th in the youth classification. He is 1.85 m tall and the team lists his contract until 2027.
