Biography
Loe van Belle is a Dutch road cyclist, born on 24 January 2002 in Zoetermeer. His sister Lisa is also a professional cyclist. He first stood out as a junior on both road and track. In 2019 he won the Dutch junior omnium and individual pursuit titles, and in 2020 he won the Dutch junior time trial championship and took the European junior titles in the scratch race and the omnium.
He rode for the Streetjump–Forte Development Team in 2019 and 2020, then joined the Jumbo–Visma Development Team in 2021 and stayed there until the end of 2023. His results as an under-23 rider include a stage of the 2021 Tour du Pays de Montbéliard, second place in the 2022 Dutch under-23 road race championship, ninth overall at the 2022 Tour de l’Avenir, and third place at the 2023 Ster van Zwolle and the Giro del Belvedere. The team’s website adds that he finished third in the youth classification of Okolo Slovenska in 2023. In September 2022 the team announced that he would stay with the development squad through 2023 and move to the WorldTour team for two seasons from 2024.
His first seasons at WorldTour level have been spent mostly in support roles. According to the team, he rode the Tour Down Under, the Tour of the Basque Country and Liège–Bastogne–Liège in 2024, and he finished ninth at Rund um Köln that year. ProCyclingStats records a fractured scapula after a crash at the Tour de Wallonie in July 2024.
In 2026 he raced a mixed programme of one-day races and stage races. The team’s website records no victories for him this season. His results include 21st at the Ename Samyn Classic, 11th at the Copenhagen Sprint, 54th overall at the Tour de Pologne, 34th at the ADAC Cyclassics, 11th overall at the ZLM Tour (with a fourth place on one stage) and 52nd at the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro. In October he finished 50th overall at the Tour of Guangxi, with eighth place on stage 4. The team lists his contract as running to 2026.
