Biography
Ben Tulett is a British road cyclist who rides for Team Visma | Lease a Bike. He was born on 26 August 2001 in Sevenoaks, England, and is a small, light puncheur, at 1.69 m and 56 kg.
He first became known in cyclo-cross. He won the junior world championship in Valkenburg in 2018 and again in Bogense in 2019. In 2018 he also won the British junior road race title and the Junior Tour of Wales. He focused on the road from 2020, when he joined Alpecin–Fenix (shown as Corendon–Circus in some listings), and was fifth overall at the Tour of Antalya in his first race for the team. In October 2020 he finished Liège–Bastogne–Liège at the age of 19, the youngest rider to do so in 100 years. In 2021 he placed in the top 20 at both Amstel Gold Race and La Flèche Wallonne and was ninth overall at the Tour de Pologne.
He moved to INEOS Grenadiers for 2022 and 2023. He took his first professional win on stage 3 of the Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali in March 2022 and was second overall, and he finished fifth at the Tour de Pologne. In 2023 he won the Tour of Norway after taking the opening stage, and he was second overall at the Tour de Hongrie.
Tulett joined Visma | Lease a Bike in 2024, and his contract runs to 2027. His first year with the team was affected by injuries. In 2025 he returned to form, winning the Settimana Coppi e Bartali overall and a stage, finishing second at Milano–Torino and third at La Drôme Classic and the Tour de l’Ain, and helping Jonas Vingegaard win the Vuelta a España.
His 2026 season brought several podium finishes in hilly one-day races. He was third at La Flèche Wallonne, at Eschborn–Frankfurt and at the Clásica de San Sebastián, fourth at the Giro dell’Emilia and fifth at the Andorra MoraBanc Clàssica. He also rode in the team time trial win on stage 3 of the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
