Biography
Jordi Meeus is a Belgian sprinter, born on 1 July 1998 in Lommel. He rode for Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe in 2026 and has signed with Lidl–Trek for 2027 and 2028, a move announced on 28 September 2026. At Lidl–Trek he is expected to help lead out Jonathan Milan while keeping his own chances in the classics and in some sprints.
He rode for Acrog–Balen BC as a junior and amateur and joined the SEG Racing Academy as a trainee in 2017, riding for it from 2018 to 2020. He won the Gooikse Pijl in 2018. In 2020 he won the Belgian under-23 road race title, two stages and the points classification at the Czech Cycling Tour, and stage 6 of the Giro Ciclistico d’Italia. He joined BORA–hansgrohe in 2021 and won Paris–Bourges and a stage of the Tour de Hongrie that year, then the Primus Classic and a stage of the Tour of Britain in 2022.
His best-known win is stage 21 of the 2023 Tour de France on the Champs-Élysées, ahead of Jasper Philipsen. That year he also won the Circuit de Wallonie. In 2024 he won stage 1 of the Tour de Wallonie and stage 3 of the Tour of Norway and finished third at Gent–Wevelgem. In 2025 he won the Copenhagen Sprint, Binche–Chimay–Binche, stage 3 and the points classification at the Volta ao Algarve, and stage 6 of the Tour de Suisse.
He won four times in 2026: the Ename Samyn Classic (Le Samyn) on 3 March, stage 5 of the Four Days of Dunkirk on 24 May, stage 1 of the Tour de Wallonie on 1 June and the Brussels Cycling Classic on 7 June. He was also second at the Danilith Nokere Koerse and at the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro, third at the Classique Dunkerque and seventh at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
