At INEOS Grenadiers from 2021 to 2023 he finished fifth at the 2021 Giro d’Italia, working as a mountain domestique for his compatriot Egan Bernal, who won the race. In 2022 he won the Tour of the Basque Country, including stage 4, and the Coppa Sabatini. He was also third overall at Paris–Nice and the Volta ao Algarve, and fourth at Liège–Bastogne–Liège. He won the Volta ao Algarve in 2023.
At Bora–Hansgrohe he was named the team’s leader for the 2024 Giro d’Italia, ahead of Emanuel Buchmann, and finished second overall. He also won the Colombian time trial title again in 2024. In 2025 he was seventh at Liège–Bastogne–Liège and 53rd at the Giro.
In 2026 he finished second overall at Paris–Nice in March, after taking second place on stage 4.
