Biography
Frederik Michal Anker Wandahl is a Danish road cyclist, born on 9 May 2001 in Höllviken, Sweden. He is 1.78 m tall and weighs 61 kg, according to ProCyclingStats, and he has ridden for the Bora–Hansgrohe team, now called Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe, since 2021. He extended his contract in July 2025 so that it also covers 2026, and ProCyclingStats now lists him with the team through 2028.
Wandahl rose through the Danish junior ranks. In 2018 he won the Danish junior road race championship, was fifth in the junior road race at the world championships and won the young rider classification at the Saarland Trofeo. In 2019 he was second in the national junior road race and eighth at the junior world championships. He rode for the Danish squad Team ColoQuick in 2020, and in August of that year Bora–Hansgrohe announced that it had signed him as a neo-professional, together with Matthew Walls.
In 2021, his first year with the team, he finished second in the Danish national road race championship. In 2022 he was eighth overall at the Tour de Wallonie and tenth at Gran Piemonte. In 2023 he won the mountains classification at the Tour of Guangxi and was eighth at the Bretagne Classic. In 2024 he won the young rider classification at the Tour de Wallonie, finished ninth overall at the CRO Race and tenth at Milano–Torino, and took third place in the Danish national road race.
He finished fourth at the Trofeo Calvià and fifth at Eschborn–Frankfurt in 2025. Shortly after the German classic he was involved in a serious crash at the Tour de Hongrie and had to take a long break from racing.
In 2026 he rode several stage races. He was 61st at the Tour de Suisse and 57th at the Tour de Pologne, and he finished the Vuelta a España in 96th place. He was 13th in the Danish national road race championship on 28 June.
