Pavel Sivakov

Pavel Sivakov is a French road cyclist who rides for UAE Team Emirates XRG. He was born on 11 July 1997 in San Donà di Piave, Italy, to the Russian former cyclists Alexei Sivakov and Aleksandra Koliaseva, and grew up in Soueich, in the Haute-Garonne department of France. He first raced for Russia. In March 2022 he changed his sporting nationality to France, because of his opposition to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

As an under-23 rider with the BMC Development Team he won the Giro Ciclistico d’Italia and the Giro della Valle d’Aosta in 2017. He turned professional with Team Sky in 2018 on a three-year contract. In April 2019 he took his first professional win on stage 2 of the Tour of the Alps and kept the lead to win the race by 27 seconds from his teammate Tao Geoghegan Hart. He finished ninth at the 2019 Giro d’Italia, then won the Tour de Pologne, moving ahead of Jai Hindley by two seconds thanks to time bonuses.

He stayed with the team, renamed Ineos Grenadiers, until 2023. He won the Vuelta a Burgos and was second at the Clásica de San Sebastián in 2022, and in 2023 he won the Giro della Toscana and was second at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal behind Adam Yates. He moved to UAE Team Emirates in 2024. In 2025 he won the Vuelta a Andalucía and was second at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and the Giro del Veneto.

In 2026 he was part of the UAE team that finished fourth in the Trofeo Ses Salines team time trial in Mallorca, did not finish Paris–Nice or the Vuelta a España, rode the world road race for France and was third at the Veneto Classic in October.
