Biography

Jarrad Drizners was born on 31 May 1999 in Adelaide, South Australia. He came through the South Australian Sports Institute and rode for the SASI Cycling Team in 2017 and 2018, then for the American development team Hagens Berman Axeon in 2020 and 2021. In January 2020 he won the Australian under-23 road race title, which earned him a place in the national team at the Tour Down Under. There he took the lead of the mountains classification after stage 1 by joining the day’s breakaway. His grandparents come from Latvia.

In September 2021 he agreed a two-year contract with Lotto Soudal for 2022. The team said his main roles would be in the classics and in the lead-out train for Caleb Ewan. He stayed with the team, which became Lotto Dstny in 2023 and Lotto in 2025, for four seasons. In 2022 he won the mountains classification at the Tour de Pologne. He rode the Vuelta a España in 2022 (did not finish) and 2023 (145th), and the Tour de France in 2024 (139th) and 2025 (129th).

On 14 October 2025 Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe announced him as its seventh new signing for 2026. The team said he would be part of the sprint train, helping to position Jordi Meeus and Danny van Poppel in finishes. Sports director Zak Dempster described him as a rider with a clear idea of his role and a sharp tactical instinct. The team did not say how long his contract runs.

His 2026 programme, as listed by ProCyclingStats, ran from the Santos Tour Down Under in January through the UAE Tour, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne, the Flemish classics and the Copenhagen Sprint in June, to the Sibiu Cycling Tour in July, the ADAC Cyclassics and the Deutschland Tour in August, the CRO Race in September and the Tour of Guangxi in October. He finished the UAE Tour 139th, the Deutschland Tour 83rd and the CRO Race 81st. He is 1.86 m tall and weighs 70 kg.
