Biography
Adrien Boichis is a French rider who competes in both road cycling and cross-country mountain biking. He was born on 2 January 2003 in Aix-en-Provence. On the road he rides for Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe, which he joined at WorldTeam level in 2026 after a year in its Rookies squad. In mountain biking he rides for Specialized Factory Racing.
His mountain-bike career began with a title at the 2021 World Championships in Val di Sole, where he won the junior cross-country race and was part of the winning team relay. In 2023 he won both the under-23 cross-country Olympic (XCO) and short-track (XCC) World Cup overall titles, became European under-23 cross-country champion, and took silver in the under-23 cross-country and the team relay at the world championships in Glasgow. In 2025, his first year at elite level, he won the under-23 short-track world title and a team relay world title, and finished second in the XCO World Cup round at Lake Placid.
On the road, he won the Istrian Spring Tour overall in 2025 with the Rookies team and was second in the French under-23 road race championship. In 2026 he joined the WorldTeam for road racing. He was fourth at the Trofeo Calvià in January, seventh overall at the Tour de Wallonie in June and fifth overall at the CRO Race in September.
In the 2026 mountain-bike season he won World Cup rounds in both XCO and XCC, among them the XCO race at Leogang, and on 27 August he became elite short-track world champion in Val di Sole. He beat Charlie Aldridge in a sprint after a last-lap attack had reduced the race to three riders; Luca Martin was third. He also finished fifth in the world championship cross-country race. In September he sat second in the XCO World Cup overall standings, 15 points behind Luca Martin, but announced that he would skip the final rounds in North America to race on the road instead.
