Biography
Mick van Dijke was born on 15 March 2000 in Goes, in the Netherlands. His twin brother Tim is also a professional and rides for the same team. Mick rode for the Jumbo-Visma Development Team in 2020 and 2021. In 2021 he was Dutch under-23 time trial champion and won the Flanders Tomorrow Tour overall, with two stage wins, as well as the GP Vorarlberg. That year he also won a team time trial stage at the Tour de l’Avenir.
Jumbo-Visma signed him in July 2021 and moved him up to the WorldTour team in early September of that year, with a contract that covered the rest of the season and the next three. He stayed with the team, which became Team Visma | Lease a Bike, until the end of 2024. In 2022 he was second at the Visit Friesland Elfsteden Race and seventh overall at the Danmark Rundt, and in 2024 he was second in the Dutch national time trial championship.
For 2025 he and Tim both moved to Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe. Reports at the time said the brothers wanted more room to ride their own chances in the classics. ProCyclingStats lists his contract with the team until 2027.
In 2026 he was sixth at Paris–Roubaix on 12 April, rode the Giro d’Italia (75th overall) and was fifth overall at the ZLM Tour in September. On 16 October he won stage 3 of the Eneco Tour from Sittard to Watersley, his first professional victory. He and Visma’s Victor Campenaerts went clear together in the closing kilometres, and he passed Campenaerts in the last few hundred metres of the two-man sprint, finishing one second ahead. He is 1.90 m tall and weighs 74 kg.
