Team History & Overview

Netcompany–INEOS (formerly known as Team Sky and INEOS Grenadiers) is one of the most successful and influential outfits in modern professional road cycling. Founded in 2010 with the goal of producing Britain’s first Tour de France champion, the squad revolutionized cycling through marginal gains, scientific training methodologies, and race control dynamics.

With major support from European IT leader Netcompany alongside chemical giant INEOS, the team enters a new strategic era aiming for Grand Tour GC contention and One-Day Monument victories.

Team Evolution & Legacy

1. The Team Sky Era (2010–2019)

Dominated the Tour de France for nearly a decade, securing victories with Bradley Wiggins (2012), Chris Froome (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017), Geraint Thomas (2018), and Egan Bernal (2019).

2. The INEOS Grenadiers Era (2019–2026)

Expanded into multi-discipline racing and offensive tactics, taking Grand Tour victories at the Giro d’Italia (Tao Geoghegan Hart in 2020, Egan Bernal in 2021) alongside Paris–Roubaix and Olympic Gold Medals.

3. The Netcompany–INEOS Chapter

Welcomed Danish IT global firm Netcompany as co-title sponsor to accelerate digital performance analytics and roster renewal featuring stars like Joshua Tarling, Thymen Arensman, Filippo Ganna, and Egan Bernal.
